Course Information
A new USATF certified loop course around scenic Lake Carolyn has been finalized! Download and print the coarse map!
- 5k - USATF# TX12031ETM
- 10k - USATF# TX12032ETM
The 10K route will be two loops of the 5K route.
The Family Fun Walk/Run course will be a 1 mile or less subset of the course.
Race start time for the Family Fun Walk/Run is at 8 a.m. and the 5K & 10K will start at 8:30 a.m. Please plan to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to race time to allow time for parking and race registration.
A course map will be posted when the route is finalized.
What Can I Expect on Race Day?
On race day we’ll be recognizing Young Texans Against Cancer and how everyone who takes part in Sprint for Cancer is making an impact on this amazing organization.
There will be a dedicated area where you'll find race maps and statistics,information about our charity beneficiary, food, beverage, and sponsor tents. You can hang out with your family and friends here before the race and afterwards leading up to the awards ceremony.
What do I Get For Participating?
In addition to the satisfaction of supporting a great cause, adult participants will receive a NCR Sprint for Cancer technical, moisture-wicking race shirt.
Where and When do I Get my Race Packet?
Want to pick up your packet early and wear your cool new race shirt to the event? Pre-race pick up is at the following Dallas area Run On! store locations from Tuesday, 4/17 through Thursday 4/19 from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm. There will be no packet pick up on Friday, 4/20.
Race day packet pick up will start at 7:00 a.m. in the registration area of the race site. http://www.runontexas.com/.

Chip Timing
The 5K & 10K races will use the ChronoTrack™ Chip timing system. The timing chip is disposable and will not need to be returned after the race.
Finish Times
Race results will be posted at the event and here the afternoon of 4/21.
Awards
Sprint for Cancer awards will be given out after the race in the following age categories for men and women. All Fun Run/Walk participants will receive a Sprint for Cancer finisher’s ribbon!
5K and 10K
- Masters and overall for male and female (In addition to an award, each masters and overall winner will receive a $50 cash prize!)
- Top 3 for male and female in each age division: Under 10, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 and over
