South Carolina State Parks Select Radiant Retail Solution

Gift shop chain to leverage robust inventory management capability delivered by Radiant to improve operational execution

ATLANTA (November 15, 2007) – Radiant Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:RADS) announces that South Carolina State Parks has chosen the Radiant retail software and hardware solution to power the gift shops in its most popular destinations.  Radiant’s solution has already been successfully implemented at the South Carolina Governor's Mansion Gift Shop and the South Carolina State House Gift Shop.  An additional 14 sites are soon to follow.

South Carolina State Parks had critical needs for an inventory management module that would help them pro-actively manage their seasonal business.  They were also focused on ease of use related to training, given their transitional workforce, and highly reliable terminals because of the demands of their business in peak seasons.  Accelerando, an Elite Radiant Retail channel partner located in High Point, North Carolina was able to demonstrate how the Radiant Retail solution was a perfect fit for these requirements.

Another key factor in the selection process was ensuring that the central office could effectively manage widely distributed gift shops.  CounterPoint, Radiant’s software package for retail inventory management and point of sale, allows customers to manage operations at either the local level, or central office, or a combination of both.  David Elwart, CIO, South Carolina Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism says, "The Radiant solution offers South Carolina State Parks the flexibility needed to centrally manage multiple locations that are geographically challenging to reach."

“More and more retailers are discovering Radiant’s unique value proposition,” said Chris Lybeer, president of Radiant’s retail division.  “We offer sophisticated retail software that helps small businesses better manage their operations, bundled with hardware and services to ensure excellent reliability.  Our solution is then sold, delivered and supported by local resellers who work closely with our customers to meet their continuing needs.”
