Radiant Systems Enhances Fan Experience, Bottom Line at Toledo's Fifth Third Field
Quest solution helps bolster credit card usage and sales at the home of the Mud Hens
ATLANTA (July 15, 2008) -- Radiant Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: RADS) announced today that the season-opening deployment of its Quest point of sale (POS) hardware and software at Fifth Third Field, home of the Detroit Tiger-affiliated Triple-A Toledo Mud Hens, has already generated an increase in credit card usage and an uplift in concession sales with fans.
“We had a very specific set of criteria for our ideal POS solution,” said Scott Jeffer, assistant general manager of marketing, advertising and sales for the Toledo Mud Hens. “We needed a reliable platform that could support secure credit card transactions and multiple concession venues, including the sale of food and beverage in both the stands and the suites.”
Radiant Systems installed the Quest POS technologies at Fifth Third Field before Opening Day in April, showcasing an integrated solution that features Venue Manager, Concessions and Suite Catering software along with 58 Versa-Term and V-Touch terminals.
“The increasing attendance at both minor league and major league stadiums in North America has created a tremendous need for POS technology that helps stadium management better serve patrons,” said Scott Kingsfield, president of the Sports and Entertainment division at Radiant Systems. “The Quest Venue Manager, Concessions and Suite Catering solutions speed-up transactions and minimize errors, contributing to the best fan experience possible at the ballpark.”
Quest Venue Manager back-office software provides stadium management with the ability to forecast usage, generate purchase orders and accurately report, analyze and compare physical sales against terminal sales and cash sales. The Quest Concessions solution tracks sales by terminal and provides extensive reporting capabilities.
The Suite Catering solution features remote printing capabilities and enables staff to place advance-day orders, produce customer invoices and kitchen labels, and track service charges and customer payments. Both the Concessions and Suite Catering solutions integrate with all other venue operations.
